Citizens Financial Group APIs are partner-onboarded via a developer portal. Public quantitative rate-limit thresholds are not published in self-serve form; per-second / per-minute limits are documented inside the partner developer portal once production access is provisioned and may be negotiated as part of the commercial agreement.

Policies

Backoff Strategy
Clients should implement exponential backoff with jitter on HTTP 429/503 responses and honor any Retry-After header.
Partner provisioning
Higher production limits are configured per partner agreement and may require relationship-manager approval and security review.
OAuth 2.0 token handling
Reuse access tokens until expiry to avoid consuming Authorization-Server rate budget.
